Goals achieved so far
Or what has CDCF done to help achieve their goals

1- With the help of specialists from MD Anderson Cancer Center two CME’s (continuing medical education) seminars were held in Houston for pediatricians and primary care physicians to educate  them about this rare bone cancer, and the importance of early diagnosis.
2- A post doctoral fellowship was established at MD Anderson Cancer Center.   Chunlei Jin, PhD was the inaugural fellow. Dr. Jin studied the mechanisms of osteosarcoma metastases.
3- Support funding for a scholarship for freshman entering college whoever achieved excellence in academics and community service.


Future goals

We hope to create collaboration and partnerships with national and international communities of physicians and researchers, who can share their work and experience to one day find a cure of this dreaded disease.
